Free Microsoft e-learning

Microsoft offers e-learning clinics and courses through their website www.microsoftelearning.com. The best part is that many of those courses are free! If you want to expand your knowledge about the latest Microsoft software like the 2007 office suite, the new .net 3.0 framework or just want to know more about windows programming, be sure to read on and learn how you can easily obtain e-learning courses on these subjects for free!

The courses are divided in three different audience targets:
  1. Security professionals
  2. Home and end-users
  3. Developers
The e-learning courses can be obtained easily and for free in just a couple of steps. I've explained these steps and accompanied them with screenshots in my "how to get free microsoft e-learning" page.

  4. E-learning for home- and end-users of Windows and Office 2007
  5. E-learning for IT professionals and software developers
Why e-learning?
E-learning is for those who are motivated, self-directed and eager to expand their knowledge and skills. The advantages of e-learning above regular studying are:

- Study at your own pace
- Study when it fits your agenda
- Going back and forward in the study materials; non-linear learning
- Possible to pause the course whenever you want

Preparing for free e-learning
- Check the system requirements for on- and off-line e-learning
- Pick the free e-learning courses which you want to follow
- Write down what you want to accomplish and what your goals are
- Plan your study according to the length of the course or clinic subscription license
- Act as if you are in class when studying, so no television, no radio, no friends coming over, etc.

Have fun! -
